Payment Methods
To make a payment by mail, send the payment to: If you use the bill pay option through your bank, complete with the District's Remittance address: Harris County MUD#285 P.O. Box 3150 Houston, TX 77253-3150. Make sure to add your account number for proper processing. Some banks will now make the transfer electronically, thus reducing the time until the District receives its funds. Check with your banking institution to confirm the length of time they need to transmit the funds to insure they reach the District before the Due Date. You may pay by telephone by calling (855) 270-3592. A charge will be assessed for this service. For Credit or Debit Card, the fee will be $3.50 per transaction if the transaction is less than $300.00, and 2.65% if the transaction is over $300.00. The fee for an eCheck will be $3.50 per transaction. Payments are accepted at your local HEB and Krogers. You must present the payment coupon with the account number. A $1.50 charge will be assessed for this service. Payments are also accepted at your local Walmart. You must present the payment coupon with the account number. An $1.00 charge will be assessed for 3-day delivery or $1.50 charge will be assessed for overnight delivery.
